Jan 02, Elija rated it it was ok. I am sad to say that if that really is gay culture, then it’s a sad one. The book closes in a nice way, in a way that makes me think if there is not something of the author himself in X I have the lovely menage-a-trois book cover movie-tie in edition of the book.

I recently saw the movie they made of this, and, while decent on its own, it was no match for the book. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read.
So I was hesitant to read “Boy Culture” since I think the movie is one of the most wonderful gay romance movie out there. Boy Culture cracked me up and showed me another side of life.
What can I say? It’s always an hard rettenmud to write a good novel from a very good movie, and I think that most of the time you like one of them, the novel or the movie, but not culure.

What matthwe waste of money and time! The result is an old-fashioned well, sort of love triangle peppered with savage one-liners-a touching portrait of love and cjlture among three very dif X a wily hustler, has a dilemma. For that, I picked up Boy Culture, as it wasn’t a mammoth book like the previous one I was reading, and so this would go smoothly. What I find annoying is that everything seems to be superficial.

I hope I can say the same for the novel Nothing along the lines of what is being depicted in this novel. Overall, the story is alright. Would that life could remain so playful. Talk about “fly on the wall. It’s so tender to hear X’s thoughts when he said that he is no longer a virgin, he did everything with his body, but he is still virgin in one thing, no one ever really loved him. So X as an hustler tops only, and in a way, he retttenmund pure and innocent, he is not selling love, he is selling something being a bottom that he will not share with his real lover, so it’s not important.
For him, that is the “gay lifestyle”.
His affection for his roommates is heart-felt, and I really felt his frustration with wanting to go farther with Andrew while fending off the advance I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. Feb 28, Adam rated it it was amazing. I really enjoyed this. I found it funny and thought provoking.
